Do you realize we all go through seasons in our lives? Our recognition of these seasons will help us to cope, adapt and excel as we pass through each season. There are seasons where we need to "hunker down" because everything around us seems to be going against us. There are other seasons where everything we do seems to "come up roses."
Ths is life. As long as we live we will pass through different seasons. The key is to recognize what season you are in and to maximize the lesson being taught and to minimize any difficulties that may arise by getting through the season as quick as possible.
Embrace each season as a necessary part of life. Remember without winter we will not receive the benefits of spring and summer and the fruit that comes with it.

Where we live it is blueberry season. There are many different varieties of blueberries to choose from not to mention the various sizes of berries. As I munch away on these delicious blueberries I realize I cannot always tell how each on will taste by just looking at them. I have picked up a large blueberry and expected it to be sweet and tasty and it turns out to be mushy and tasteless.
What is my point? One cannot always tell by looking. Do not just look at God. Do not just think you know Him because you have seen Him. Experience Him. Reach out and touch Him and allow Him to touch you. You will not be diappointed. He is not "tasteless and mushy."

Timing is knowing the right moment for the right decision. Sounds easier than it is. How many times have done something that did not work out and realized we were too late or too early in acting.
How do we know when to act? I have discovered that the timing of God is perfect. It may always look perfect from our perspective but God does know what He is doing. If we are willing to assess many of the circumstances that have challenged us we will no doubt discover that with a little pationce and prayer the outcome would have been different.
Let us be slow to act and quick to seek the counsel of God in many of our circumstances so that we can benefit from the leading of God because He loves us and has our best interest at heart.

Are we willing to have God in our lives when it is convenient? Will we believe and follow if it does not "cramp" our style? Whatever happened to laying our lives down at the altar to serve God?
I have spoken to a few people who will accept and follow God if it fits their schedule. Is that how it is supposed to be done? I grew up being taught that God is supposed to take first place in our lives. The challenge we have is placing God ahead of everything else in our lives and keeping Him there.
Let's not fall into the trap of believing as a matter of convenience but let us believe as a matter of conviction. Let's put God first as a priority and not on our own terms as a mater of convenience.

What does this mean to you when you hear this? To the Israelite people who for years were in slavery in Egypt it meant something better than what they had. They did reach the Promised Land with its hope of a better future.
What about for us? We are not necessarily going to walk to a new land and conquer giants in order to receive our inheritance or are we? Our Promised Land may not be a geographical piece of property and our giants may not be seven feet tall but none the less we will have to step forward to take what God has for us.
Our inheritance will take us overcoming and conquering fears and worries that have kept us bound for years. It will require us to overcome "giants" that have brought fear to our hearts. The Promised Land that the Lord has for us may appear to be different than that of the Israelistes, but the way attain it is the same. It is allowiing the Lord our God to lead and work on our behalf to see us overcome our "enemies."
Trust like never berfore. Be still and know that He is God!
