Herb first met his wife Pearl at the young age of 12 and knew even then that this was the girl he was going to marry one day. They eventually became high school sweethearts and following his second year of training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, he came home to Vancouver to marry Pearl. The two of them then returned to Toronto to complete his degree and again returned to Vancouver to build his practice.

Herb attended the University of British Columbia, Regent College and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. As a teen, Herb gave his life to the Lord and at the age of 24 he knew God had called him to become a pastor.

Herb practiced for twelve years as a Doctor of Chiropractic, served his family as a full-time “stay-at-home” Dad and has served as a Pastor/Business Administrator.
