Mission Statement
The mission of Vancouver City Church is to be Jesus to each and everyone we encounter on a daily basis. We will achieve this by meeting each person through their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs. Through our unwavering commitment to God our Father, through our integrity and strength of character, through our obedience to the Word of God and through the establishing of small groups we will build a community of believers who will be a model for others. We will be the example that God has called us to be as individuals and as a local body to this generation and generations to come.
OUR GOALS
We will see:
- all individuals discover and operate in their spiritual gifting
- the developing of individuals to become leaders of tens, fifties, hundreds and thousands
- families supported and strengthened to become models to others
- community established and built through small groups
- the growth of the local body as a direct result from the growth of small groups
- the sending of individuals and teams to the where the Lord directs to minister His love in practical and relevant ways in order to bring glory to the Father
- the planting of local bodies where the Lord directs
- that everyone is encouraged to be involved and to make a difference in the community/city in which they reside
- the people in our neighbourhoods impacted by the love of God through our lives
OUR STRATEGY
We will teach:
- that the revealed Word of God is essential for us to know God’s destiny for our lives
- that prayer is essential to the growth of not only the lives of each individual, but for the body as a whole
- that worshipping God in spirit and truth is the way that each of us can stay connected to our Father
- that every individual is loved by God and is an asset to Him and the local body mentor, disciple, model etc. through the small groups
